America's Cup final Race - WOW

Sailboat racing?

Yeah, sure, B O R I N G ! ! !

That was then, this is now!!

These new boats are screaming fast, and in the rough water, even the power boats are taking a beating trying to keep up. Seventy two foot catamarans going over fifty miles per hour in whitecaps! They also making amazingly fast turns. This video shows the action, The racing actually starts around 12 minutes in, and I haven't watched the rest of it past the end of the race, but the race only last about thirty minutes or thereabouts.

Making The Coffee

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it because you get up first, and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee."

The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee."

Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."

Husband replies, "I can't believe that, show me.."

So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'

Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass Video

I haven't had time to get more posts put together on the just concluded Gun Blogger rendezvous, but I came across this video, and just had to share it. I had the chance to sit right behind Oscar Peterson in Vancouver in a small hotel club when he and Joe Pass were performing, and it was amazing. Here they are in a video from about the same time. How many of the guitarists of today could even keep up, let alone understand what was going on?

Bowling Ball Mortar at GBR-VIII #2

Here's another video. I couldn't see the ball in flight through the viewfinder, but got a bit lucky. In the original you can see it clearly. Be sure to turn up the sound and make it full screen to appreciate it best!

The ridge in the background is approximately 1,000 yards from the mortar, and we were landing the bowling balls at the top of the ridge. This video was one of the first, and we were still using lighter loads that we used a bit later!

Bowling Ball Mortar at Gun Blogger Rendezvous VIII

Got back from the Gun Blogger Rendezvous late last night, and it was by far the best one ever. Here's just one of the cool things you missed if you didn't go, the Gunauction.com bowling ball mortar. The video doesn't do it justice! Cool isn't even close.........
