Congratulations to Steve Fossett and the Virgin Atlantic Global Flyer team on setting a new non-stop distance record. Steve Fossett and the Global Flyer travelled around the world and more, with a total distance of 26,389.3 miles covered in 76 hours and 45 minutes.

A near-total electrical failure on decent, combined with ice on the aircraft forced an emergency landing at an alternate airport, resulting in two blown tires, but fortunately no other damage.
