Reaction Time Trainer & Tester
Here's an interesting one to fool around with. I've seen similar before, but they were usually surrounded with advertising. This one isn't! It's a simple test. When the red dot changes color, click on it with your mouse, and it will display your reaction time. It will run four tries, and then display your average reaction time. I managed a .198 second average with a .188 fastest time, on my first try. I tried it with my left hand, being left handed, but the best I could do was around .254 seconds. I attribute that to the right hand clicking the mouse buttons all the time.
How fast can you react?

Just as an interesting note, any time better than about .2 seconds is considered fast. I like Cowboy Fast Draw and at several contests I've seen Quick Cal Eilrich hit the target with times in the .360 range and several times at .351 sec.
If you subtract a good reaction time of say .190 (that's just the time to start the draw) that leaves just .161 sec. to pull a single action revolver out of a regulation holster, cock it, fire it and hit a target 21 feet away. You can only see the gun at two points, in the holster and pointed at the target with smoke coming out of the barrel with nothing but blur between.
An IMPORTANT note, fast draw is NEVER done with live rounds! We use wax bullets and most people have deflectors on the holster.

Managed to pull a .204 average with a .197 reaction to the last big one.
Oops! I slipped the decimal point when I was typing the post. I'll edit it to show the correct times....
