It's Been a Busy Weekend - Lots to Post

I've got some info on the BSA red dot sights you will want to read before ordering one.

Went over to Everett, Wa. for breakfast Saturday morning, then to Sam's Gun Range for the blogger Blastorama.

Just got back from the CWSA Hanging Plate shoot.

I'm plumb tuckered, as they say!

Time for a nap........................

Ok, I have purchased a BSA Red Dot RD30 made in china from an eBay seller. I just received it today and low and behold it doesn't fit my Winchester 800x AirRifle, the dove tail mounts on the 800 are to narrow for the RedDot mount. Am I just SOL or is there an adapter for this sight?

The narrow mount rails are the same as the ones commonly found on .22 rifles, and a few .22 pistols. Brownell's used to carry an adapter that would mount to your existing rails and provide a standard Weaver style rail for the sight. As an alternative, if you can return and/or exchange the BSA, have a look at the Simmons Red Dot sights. Several of them are made to fit either size of rails.

Thanks for the info, but as you would know there is a no return on the sight. Maybe I can just relist it to sell. I checked Brownell's and they have the adapter although it would make more sence to buy the right size and pay less. Thanks for the info it deffinately came in handy in making a disision.
