So far most of the six "tagee's" have posted responses listing what's on their night stand:

Sulfuric Attitude's Response

AnalogKid at Random Nuclear Strikes' response.

Carnaby and Stickwick from CarnabyFudges' response.

Firehand at Irons in the fire

Rivrdog( Thankis Rivrdog, it's a great answer - you all go read!)

Haven't heard from Jerrythegeek yet.

Well, since everyone else seems to be also listing what is loaded in their bedside firearms, I guess I should fill in the blank too.

In the CZ83 I have 102gr Remington Golden Sabers and in the 1911, my first mag (8+1) is filled with 230gr Winchester Black Talons.

Because bank robbers wear body armor too and cops have busted into the wrong house in the middle of the night. If they're entering with full-autos in full rattle, they won't survive it either.

Hmmm...AK, maybe you need Claymores?

I play the percentages. I am thousands of times more likely to face one cat burglar than a mega-armed bank robbery gang, or even Gonzales' minions in full SWAT regalia.

If I have to fight the latter, it won't be in my bedroom. They will have to come to me in the forest, or maybe in the bywaters. I kill efficiently there, and know how to fire and evade, most likely better than they do, so their firepower advantage will be nullified.

.357 - first round off is a shotshell. So the bad guy would never see what happens afterward - have to find me by smell. (Some huntin & fishin buddies would say that's not a problem.)

Has anybody ever counted how many tiny shot are in one of those? FR
