The Headstone Band

The Headstone Band, the house band at The Cozy Corner Tavern in Clinton, Wa. Photo taken in the early 70's. Left to right; Loren, Jeff, Mr. C., and Bob.

You might wonder about the previous post about Jack Bruce, and why old rock bands are an are of interest for me. Well, in the late sixties and early seventies I, too, was a rock guitarist. Certainly not on the level of the great rock guitarists of the day, (not even close!) but I did manage to supplement my modest income with some regular gigs in local bars and so on.

Although it was quite a bit of work, it was also a whole lot of fun, too. Playing live for a crowd that is really enjoying your music is an experience that you can't really explain. You have to have experienced it to understand what I'm talking about, and if you haven't experienced it, there is no way to explain it.
