Mr. Completely: "Hello?"
Unsolicited Caller: "Hello. I'm calling with a survey about blah blah blah.... May I speak with the person at this number who can answer some survey questions about that?"
Mr. Completely: "Gee, I'm sorry, you've telephoned my FAX machine, and it's unable to speak."
Unsolicited Caller: Oh. I'm sorry, (long pause)...........

this TRUE, I heard the call!
For most people you would think "sure" you thought of that well after the call. But for Mr. C I can well believe the call went just like that, having heard him explain to the tele-marketer that " I'm sorry you reached a working number...please hang up and dial incorrectly".
