e-Postal Handgun Match #3 "Jack-N-Jill" News

Here's the target!

The time is drawing close for you all to get your entries in for the current e-Postal match. Midnight, Monday, the 10th. of October is the deadline, so this is the last weekend to get out to the range and shoot some targets.

Here's the rules, if you still need to get the targets downloaded, or to check the details.

There seems to be some mis-understanding on the classes, so let me clear that up. There is a team category, the "Jack-N-Jill", and there is also an individual category. Within each category there are five separate classes, by caliber, or more specifically, bore diameter.

Class One: 0 through .199 inches
Class Two: .200 through .299 inches
Class Three: .300 through .399 inches (includes 9mm.)
Class Four: .400 through .499 inches (includes 10mm.)
Class Five: .500 or over

What this all means is that you can drag a stack of targets out to the range, along with just about every handgun you own, blast away with joyous abandon, and send in lots of entries.

Some of the classes will probably have very few entries. I expect a fair number of entries in classes two, three, and four with some really close scores. Special recognition will be given to whoever manages to enter in the most classes.

These matches are a great excuse to get out to the range and shoot some of the iron that hasn't been out of the gun safe for awhile. With the "Jack-N-Jill" classes, it's an opportunity to get someone out to the range who might otherwise not go.

If you've got entries ready to send in or post, doing so before the last minute allows me to get them into the scoring spreadsheet sooner, and I can get the results posted more quickly.

If you are a blogger or have a website, I would appreciate your help in reminding folks that the deadline is getting close, and that this is the last weekend to shoot the match.

If you would like your email address added to my e-Postal match email distribution list, send me an email and I'll get you on the list.

Lastly, if you have any suggestions, ideas, or whatever, regarding the handgun postal matches, drop me an email.

Thanks, and have fun out there at the range!!!!!
