I actually just shot one of those Jennings .22lr jobbers this past weekend. The write up is pretty much right on - the trigger pull was atrocious and the accuracy was non-existant (scattering 5 rounds over the face of an 8" plate at 7 yards). It would reliably feed only one type of ammo - CCI Velocitor - which is ok as a hideout gun goes, but is 'spensive for plinking. I don't know if it was the worst of all time. That honor may go to a Davis .32ACP I once owned.
