A perfect score would be 250 Off Hand (OH) and 250 Bench Rest (BR) for a total score of 500

Entries of Special note:

There were several entries worthy of special mention, starting with Rivrdog absolutely destroying the competition in the snubbie class. Excluding his second place entry, he was 128 points above the next nearest entry. Just to rub it in, he shot better off-hand with his snubbies than he did from a rest. Very impressive!

JimmyB's bench rest target was something to see, too! Twenty of his twenty-five shots in the ten ring, and the remaining five were in the nine ring, and all five were very close to the ten ring, AND, he did this with only a four inch barrel!!

Blognomicon managing to even hit the target with an NAA Mini-revolver is also worth noting. That thing is REALLY tiny, and only a front sight, if I remember, no rear sight at all!

In Conclusion:

I want to thank all of you for sending in your entries. We had a good turn-out, and some really close competition. Thanks also to LouG and KeeWee for helping with the scoring. All of you bloggers who helped by promoting the e-Postal matches, it wouldn't have been nearly as successful as it was without your support.

I'm already working on the details for the next e-Postal handgun match (.....sounds of evil laughter in the background), and I'l have the rules posted in a couple of weeks, maybe a little less.

Stay tuned........

There is sort of a back sight, actually. There's a notch in the top of the hammer that is supposed to serve as such.

The Beretta Minx is really a tatoo gun - it can't penetrate much under the skin. The AMT Backup is OK as a backup, but it isn't a one-shot stopper, either.

An improvement might be made with the Beretta M21 in .22 Long Rifle, but now Kel-Tec makes a .32ACP that isn't any bigger than the Minx, so I might indulge in one of those for a backup. It's 25% slimmer than the AMT, so it's a real pocket gun that can remain in the pocket undetected. The .32 has power below the .380, but not much below, and a belly full of those pills might be the medicine to stop a goblin.

I linked to this post.
You should get trackbacks (via Haloscan, for example.)

Great contest.
Looking forward to the next one.

How can I get notified/get the rules, etc., for the next one. Sounds like a blast and I need another reason to go shooting... (as if I really NEED one, but it sounded good anyway).

Thanks!!
