I offer as evidence for the abundance of humor among the geeks of the world the fact that both Dilbert and The Far Side have huge support among the technical folks.
Our idea of what's funny may be a tad skewed from the common folk, but we tend to be very humor oriented. All kinds of computer terms have a humor base to them.
For instance: we all know a byte is 8 bits. Do you know what 4 bits is called? A nibble.
