Sub Gun Shoot in Leona, Texas

For all you sub gun enthusiasts out there frothing at the mouth waiting for the History Channel machine gun shoot program coming up on January 3rd., here's a video of the Sub Gun shoot a few weeks ago at Leona, Texas, complete with a Stones background track!

It looks like they had lots of interesting stuff to shoot.

Anybody know what the one is that looks like the top of a slide projector?

The young woman sure looks as though she is having fun. I can tell you from experience, shooting machine guns is awesome!!!! though, I do prefer my Beretta.

Happy New Year, That looked like a lot of fun for all involved. The Machine gun that looked like it had a slide projector for a magazine was the American 180, http://www.american180.com/
Definately one of the more fun ways to burn through a brick that I have had the pleasure of shooting.

Yep, that weapon, or it's progenitor, has been around for a while. The drum is a 200-rounder, and they usually sport laser sights.

They were briefly in vogue for prison tower guards and the guys at the Walls in Salem Oregon used them. Just getting the bright red spot on you if you were fighting in the yard was enough to stop most yard assaults.

I'm not sure, but I think that the reason that they were quickly changed out for Mini-14's is that the .22LR round makes a nice flesh wound (in multiples, but that was this guns's forte) but can't be called upon for a lethal shot when required.
