Ray State 12 Gauge Shotgun
A friend of mine is looking for some information on a Ray State 12 gauge shotgun he has recently acquired. It is a single shot shotgun, with no other information on it other than "Ray State" and the serial number. A google search didn't turn up anything.
Do any of you out there know anything about it?

Probably the same gun as an Anders, or Oak Leaf. Sells for $60 or so at gun shows, good to train a kid on if it's 20 ga. Makes a fine truck gun if the barrel is cut down (but you can't sell it again, new BATFE rule calls that an illegal mod for transfer, gun then requires AOW status with beaucoup paperwork).
The logo on the gun could be Bay State, as Mass is known as the bay state
I HAVE A 16GA. FULL CHOKE SINGLE SHOT. ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THANKS
SORRY FORGOT TO MENTION IT IS A RAY STATE MADE IN MASS.
My wife has a single barrel 12guage that says Ray State, Worcester, Mass. It belonged to her grandfather and was passed down to her, now 94 year old father. I've found little info on the web about Ray State shotguns. My email is bbbelyeu@bellsouth.net if anyone is inclined to share any info on this, very humble, gun.
I have a 12 GA Ray State that was passed down from my deceased father. I was unable to find it in the Gun Digest and very little if anything on the web so far.
