e-Postal Handgun Match Rules Modification
Now that I have had a chance to get to the range and try out the targets for the e-Postal Match #4 "Seein' Spots", I can see where a rule modification is in order.
I am suspending the rule restricting you to only one try at the target with any particular gun.
The target is challenging, and I'm sure most of you, after having shot it once, would be left wanting another crack at it, so I have removed the restriction.
You can shoot as many targets as you like, but you can only ENTER one target per Division/Class entry.
Here's the old rule:
PROCEDURE: You only get to shoot one target per Division/Class entry. Re-shooting the a target for a better score with the same gun is not permitted.
Here's the new rule:
PROCEDURE: You only get to ENTER one target per Division/Class entry. Shooting another target for a better score with the same gun is permitted.
NEW DISTANCE: Since some of you only have access to a 25 yard max. range, I am adding a third distance, 25 yards, to be shot from a rest.
The complete revised rules are HERE.
Have Fun!!

Here's my suggestion for your next competition (because I'm passing on this one): Take a blank piece of white paper in "A" size (typing paper). Put ONE aiming spot of any color or colors of no more than 3" on it, as close to the center as you can get it.
Firing from a two handed stance at 50 feet, shoot 10 rounds at that target. Measure the group size. Submit that size as your score.
Take another such adorned sheet of paper. At 50 feet, fire 10 rounds at it using your STRONG had, NOT supported by your weak hand, which must be at your side. Measure the group size and submit that for your score.
Take a third sheet, so adorned as the first two. At 50 feet, fire ten rounds at it using your WEAK hand, unsupported by your strong hand, which must be at your side. Measure the group size and submit that as your score.
Match leader's scoring: the match leader (you, Mike), will tabulate the entries by caliber and further tabulate by classes of iron (open) sights or enclosed/optical/electro-optical sights.
Groups must be of 10 shots to qualify at a qual factor of 1.0. If one shot is missing, the qual factor goes down to .9, etc, so reducing the temptation to fire fewer rounds.
The object of this match is to test firearms proficiency of hitting a single bull consistently, which is the usual way to test proficiency.

I like it.
