I've been busy on the milling machine making the sight mount for the 9mm. bowling pin race gun I'm putting together. I just did a test fit/assembly to make sure everything cleared and fitted up OK prior to final finishing and assembly. So far, so good.....
Anybody recognize the gun?
I could be wildly off, but it looks like a Beretta to me. 92FS with a compensator?
ReplyDeleteTaurus PT-99/92? That guide rod looks real familiar.
ReplyDeleteWhen mr. C brought this mount into the house to show me, I thought "wow! he truly is an artist when it comes to creating something on his milling machine.
ReplyDeleteThis piece will bring in the usual comments at the range, "what the H--l is that?"
Anon was close, and Josh nailed it. It's an early Taurus PT-92, which is, of course, a slightly modified and improved Beretta.
ReplyDeleteI'll do a full report on it in a week or so when I've got it finished and shoot it a bit.
The object is to come up with a club level competitive race gun, in this case for bowling pins, in a price range that mere mortals can afford.
.....Mr. C.
Eagerly awaiting the range report and price info!!
ReplyDeleteI make mounts for Glocks for one of my customers in my mfg bidness and I have to say that's a very nice machining job
ReplyDelete"Recognize the gun" ??
ReplyDeleteThe gun is the dark (gun colored) metal thing; to the left of something yellow, and right underneath the shiny, newly machined, bright metallic part.
