Pin Shooting in France - COOL!

Check THIS out:

I got a comment from Manfred in France (Normandie) and he and two of his friends are not only gun bloggers, they're pin shooters as well! They even have some pin shooting videos to prove it.

Their blog is Armes et tir passion. (Gotta put them on the blogroll). Go see!

Very Cool, I'd say.........

I read the first two articles on his blog. I could do an 80% translation, as my grasp of idiom is what lets me down for simultaneous translation of Froggish.

I am amazed that such shooting sports as competitive pin shooting (they appear to be using our style of bowling pin called "duckpin", which is smaller) and competitive MilSurp rifle shooting exist over there.

Of course, they don't talk about the hassles of gun ownership, which probably requires multilevel licensing, and maybe armory holding of the firearms, but they obviously have a target shooting structure as well as the availability of modern handguns.

The Tanfoglio 40 is no slouch of a pistol, and he reports using a BSA holosight on it.

If they are, in fact, using duckpins or candlepins, their sport is MUCH more difficult than ours. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure full-size bowling exists in Europe, but candlepins always did.
